Health Insurance and TapToTalk

You may be covered

If you live in the United States, your health insurance or health care plan may cover TapToTalk. You may also have coverage for the device you use to run TapToTalk. We do not bill insurance. You purchase TapToTalk from us and then get reimbursed from your insuror.

Each plan differs in what it covers and what the requirements are to obtain reimbursement. Because of this, we do not know if you will be covered. Contact your insuror or health care provider to find out if they will reimburse you for TapToTalk. You may find that you get better service if you request a case manager who is familiar with the diagnosis that led to the need for TapToTalk (autism, Down syndrome, Parkinson's, apraxia, etc.).

Here is the information you will need for your insuror

1. Company Information
Assistyx LLC is the maker of TapToTalk, and is an "out-of-plan" provider.

20660 Stevens Creek Blvd., Suite 241
Cupertino, CA 95014
408-335-7373

2. TapToTalk Information
TapToTalk has been issued HCPCS ('hicpic') code: "E2511 - Speech Generating Software Program for Personal Computer or Personal Digital Assistant"

This code is in the Durable Medical Equipment Coding System (DMECS), a system your insuror uses to verify the code for TapToTalk.

This is usually a prescription from a physician ordering TapToTalk and providing a diagnosis, often accompanied by a written evaluation by a speech therapist.

4. Invoice
